Activity-based working describes a working concept in which rigid room structures and fixed workstations are dissolved. Instead, there are focus zones for focussed work, as well as collaboration zones where exchanges can take place. Depending on the type of activity, employees change their workstation several times a day and sit in the designated zone. This enables a great deal of flexibility and increases interaction with each other. The dissolution of rigid room structures and fixed workstations often results in a loss of overview. Wrkbase, an application for desktop and mobile, is designed to provide an overview. It gives users an overview of the location of colleagues, zones and workstations as well as their colleagues' knowledge and their own activities. Linking existing communication tools and the calendar ensures minimal interaction with the application. Wrkbase gets to know the users and adapts to them. This results in personalised and intelligent suggestions that also make working in the various zones easier.
